Something More About Denise
So, my name is Denise ... I'm really not sure what else to say ... other than ...
I am an author and editor for TrueU.org. I am also in charge of women's issues. I guess I'm kind of like the resident advisor for the Women's Hall. Except that no one can really come down the hall to visit me. And I'm not on duty at 2 a.m. And I definitely will not be inspecting rooms before Thanksgiving break. So, basically, I'm a really horrible R.A., and I should probably be fired.
I grew up in Minnesota. Therefore, if you read my articles and I ever use the words, "bag" or "tag," please know that they are pronounced with a long "a." That's just the way it is, dontcha know?
I went to school at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, where I majored in print journalism, Spanish and awesomeness. I really liked college because I got to read Jane Eyre, spend a semester in Spain, and take classes like Old Testament theology and Karate. (Wax on — wax off, baby.)
Right now, my interests include learning to play the guitar, reading books by good authors, avoiding references to Napoleon Dynamite, and participating in my local YMCA's Happy Hands club.
Recently, God has been teaching me that I can trust Him in all circumstances, which is a good thing to know. I'm glad He's my friend.
So, I'll see you guys around the site. Kick it old skool ... word.
